Sovereign Birth & Postpartum Doula Care | Sacred Ceremonies | Pre Conception & Spirit Baby Readings
Welcome!
Hi, I’m Lacey – mother, full spectrum doula, women’s guide, retreat leader and sacred ceremonialist.
I’m so glad you found your way here.
As you read on, I invite you to get a feel for who I am, my approach to birth and postpartum, and the offerings I share—so you can sense if I might be the right doula to support you and your family during this special chapter.
Over the past decade, I’ve had the honor of witnessing over a thousand women awaken and transform through my retreats, circles, online programs, doula support, and rites of passage ceremonies —andI’m truly looking forward to offering that same care and presence to you and your family.
How it All Began
My path to this work began with my own womb reclamation story—one that transformed my holistic health practice and called me to guide women back to their sacred feminine power.
It was a 2018 pilgrimage to Egypt that re-initiated my soul’s calling to the ancient path of the Birthkeeper.
In 2020, after 13 months of study and mentorship, I birthed Sahaja Doula Care in the jungles of Southern Pacific Costa Rica. Since then, I have served over 50 families through birth and postpartum doula support, sacred ceremonies, birth education classes, and community postpartum gatherings.
My doula support also weaves in my love of nurturing through nourishment. With over 8 years of experience as a retreat center chef, I’m delighted to bring the gift of a private postpartum chef into your home—preparing warm, postpartum specific healing meals, teas, and snacks crafted to nourish your body and support your recovery and renewal.
Becoming a Mother
In 2023, I became a mother myself after a powerful 5 hour freebirth at my home in the jungle.
In Fall of 2024, we followed our hearts back to Canada and moved to Bowen Island, BC where I now live with my husband and son.
I am here to support you and your family as you reclaim the sacredness and sovereignty of your birth and postpartum journey—the way you envision it, and as guided by you.
Thank you for considering me as a part of your journey, Lacey
“We immediately felt so at ease and comfortable with Lacey. She brings forth such a grounding and calming energy which was exactly what I needed at that time. Without ever having to tell her, Lacey intuitively always knew what I needed.”

My Philosophy
The word doula comes from the Greek word doulos which means servant – yes that’s right, I am here in the highest humble service to you and your family.
I am a companion & guide I lovingly accompany women and families as a sister, a friend, and a guide through life’s most sacred rites of passage. I honour your wholeness and carry a deep understanding of the interconnectedness of body, mind, heart, womb and spirit.
I offer my presence as a sanctuary I bring a grounded, loving, and supportive presence into your home, and offer physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual support to every family I work with.
I am here to Mother the Mother I am here to hold a sacred container of presence, respect, and trust—as you awaken to the strength and innate wisdom already within you.
I walk in sovereignty I do not answer to a government, license, or institution. I am a vessel in service to the Great Mother for the upliftment of all families.
“Lacey has been the most generous, loving, present and conscious guide I could have ever wished for.“
She listens in a way that allowed me to fully open. I absolutely loved every second spent together and would highly recommend her bright presence to any family entering this magical journey. Thank you Lacey!

A Sacred, Sovereign & Holistic Approach to Birth
Pregnancy, birth, and postpartum are our origin—natural, sacred, and instinctual.
I trust that you have everything you need within you to physiologically birth your baby, and I honor your innate power, instincts, and deeper knowing.
It’s not about information—it’s about intuition. While I encourage learning and aligned childbirth education, nothing can replace being truly connected to your body, power and inner wisdom.
Birth is an altered state of consciousness. I understand and deeply respect that birth happens beyond the thinking mind. It is a journey into the mystery. I hold the container so that you can go deeply inward to receive your child.
To the father — you are not being replaced, you are being supported. You are your beloved’s greatest ally and most intimate advocate, and your presence matters deeply. I’m here to walk alongside both of you—holding space for your unique experience, offering guidance when needed, and honoring your rite of passage into fatherhood.
A Mother-Centered Approach to Postpartum
The first 40 days are sacred. This is your time to receive, rest, recover, bond, heal, and be supported by community. I am devoted to helping families honor these essential pillars and to reviving ancient postpartum practices so that mothers are cared for as the life-givers they are.
Deep Nourishment — Your own private postpartum chef With over 8 years of experience as a retreat chef, it is my joy to prepare warming, nutrient-dense, slow-cooked meals, teas, and snacks—crafted specifically for postpartum healing.
These meals are easy to digest, rich in iron and collagen, and supportive of vitality, lactation, and deep restoration.
Food & nourishment is one of the most powerful medicines we can offer a new mother—and it’s my honor to nourish you in this way.
Ritual and Restoration I recognize the spiritual expansion that birth and postpartum invite. I am here to listen, to witness, and to hold space for whatever is alive within you.
To support your healing, I gently offer grounding womb-care rituals—yoni steaming, sitz baths, flower baths, oil massage, and belly wrapping. These ancient practices help us slow down, integrate, and remember the sacredness of this time.
“Postpartum with Lacey is such a blessing.”
Coming into motherhood is such a huge transition, so having the support for those first weeks postpartum was invaluable and allowed me to really take the time I needed to rest, heal, and bond with my baby.

Weaving the Sacred into your Experience
The Medicine of Ceremony I simply cannot put into words my love for ceremony and the joy I feel in creating beauty-filled, intentional spaces for your healing, honoring, and grounding.
Ceremony allows us to pause, to be held, and to tend to both the seen and unseen layers of our experience. It invites us into stillness, remembrance, and reverence for the sacred thresholds we cross.
Whether I walk beside you through pregnancy and postpartum, or you are called to a single ceremony, I’m here to offer sacred space.
See Sacred Ceremonies below for full details.
Here’s a glimpse into how I support mothers through the grounding and nurturing ritual of Closing of the Bones.
“I felt deeply held by Lacey during my closing of the bones ceremony.”
I really appreciated the way she orchestrated such a beauty filled experience. I felt safe, supported, loved, held and nourished through the whole experience. I appreciate the deep mother wisdom she carries, the gentleness to her approach and the way she honors the sacredness of birth and the womb. Thank you so much Lacey.

“We are beyond grateful to have found Lacey upon our arrival in Costa Rica. She has helped us feel confident and safe throughout my pregnancy and birth, And when things were more difficult I felt completely comfortable opening up to her. Lacey comes with wonderful skills which allow her to use different holistic practices and ceremonies during pregnancy, birth and postpartum. Her passion for birth and pregnancy, her knowledge and calming presence is what inspired me to pursue my doula training as well. Having Lacey by my side throughout my pregnancy and during postpartum has been a blessing and her kind, loving and non judgmental support is why I would highly recommend her to any mother and family.” – Noemie P. (Birth Support)
“Although we had only met Lacey a few times before my birth (once online and twice in person) we immediately felt so at ease and comfortable with her. The moment she walked into our home while I was in labour she brought forth such a grounding and calming energy which was exactly what I needed at that time. Without ever having to tell her Lacey intuitively always knew what I needed, whether it be words of encouragement, a gentle rub, or space. She was also an amazing liaison between myself and the OBGYN. In the hours, days, weeks and months following my daughters birth I felt supported by Lacey through her check ins and genuine care for my familys wellbeing. Investing in Lacey as our doula was the best decision we made for this huge life event.” (Carly D., Birth Doula Support)
“Throughout my whole pregnancy and even while in labor, I had an overwhelming sense of calm and trust and I do believe Lacey played an important role in cultivating that with all the tools, support, and information she was continuously providing to help us prepare and go into our birth experience and postpartum with more confidence. You can tell Lacey really loves her work and puts so much love and thought into every moment she spends with her clients. I feel truly blessed to have had the opportunity to receive her Doula support and can’t recommend her services enough. Thank you Lacey!” ~Kelly V. (Complete Birth & Postpartum support)
“Seeking out Lacey to be a part of our support team was the best decision we could have made. She made us feel so comfortable with her warm and caring energy every single time we saw her. I was always looking forward to our next session because they were always so creative and fun. I didn’t even know what I would really need or want during the birth but Lacey was so good at being respectful of the space, supporting my husband and offering me what I needed without me having to ask. Just seeing her face through labor made me relax knowing she was right there, especially after the bond we made in the prenatal sessions. I felt like we had been friends for years. We had special moments of her just holding my hands, putting a face wash on my head, feeding me coconut water , massaging my back to give my husband a break and more. She even got some incredible video and photos of us when she had a chance so my husband didn’t have to worry about it. After the birth she helped clean and get us comfortable, got us dinner, everything. We could both totally relax and be present. In postpartum she made the most delicious, healthy food and snacks. she would come in with a herbal tea, bliss balls, some beautiful flowers she picked from her garden and come sit on the bed to be with me, fix up my pillows so I could be more comfortable, offer a womb steam and help with any concerns I had like breastfeeding positions and all of my early new born worries of ” is this normal.” I felt so pampered and loved. We live away from our family so Lacey was so vital in our journey for the connection and support. Even if we were back in our home country I would want her support again because I believe it really gave our family the best possible start. One of the biggest blessings is that she connected us with other clients of hers through pregnancy by holding holistic birth workshops. We were able to make connections with other families who are now good friends with our babies growing up together. I still go to every postpartum mothers gathering and it’s a very special place for me to connect with other mothers. Her presence was everything and just knowing her has impacted our journey in the most positive way. I will always look back on this time and be so thankful to her.” (~Emma M., Birth + Postpartum Doula Support)
“Our decision to invite Lacey into our home was a blessing. She entered our home with respect, awareness, a sense of steadiness and a servant’s heart. She holds the kind of nurturing intuition that is necessary in this field and applies that intuition accordingly. I felt safe and supported. I am thankful for her presence at my birth. She developed relationships with my children and husband and was a joy to have throughout postpartum. When Lacey left, we would have a meal ready to eat, new bedding, and lighter hearts. I’m happy to recommend her in the future. ” ~ Jamie S. (Birth & Postpartum Support)
“Receiving Lacey’s support during our transition into parenthood was truly valuable and special. She was consistently very loving, caring, and easily approachable. From the onset, she made me feel very comfortable and made herself available to my partner at all times. Throughout our sessions together she showed great devotion and commitment to this path. Her skill set is very varied and came in super handy during the chaos that arises in the early postpartum. Not only did she cook hearty loving foods, but also would prepare healthy snacks, support us with some laundry and organizing around the house, as well as allowed me the space to voice and process my emotions, feelings and challenges as they aroused each week she visited. We are deeply grateful for how she served us and will recommend her services without question, for every family and every mother needs the kind of loving and nourishing support Lacey offers.” Maite O. (Postpartum Support)
“Closing of the bones ceremony was the best Self Care I have ever received! I felt so celebrated, loved, seen and nourished. Just like when we acknowledge special events in our lives like birthdays. It felt even more important for me to open up and receive this love gift from Lacey. I really felt the energy shift in this ceremony. It felt like I had come out of the initial postpartum rest and I was ready for the next phase of motherhood. I felt this shift physically after being tightly wrapped in deep meditation and I felt it emotionally after releasing what was on my mind. . What makes this ceremony so special is Laceys passion for honoring the mother and her attention to detail and beauty. Her intention is conveyed in how beautifully she holds these ceremonies. I have now taken what I loved most about it and what I have learned from Lacey into my daily life to continue to fill my life with more beauty.” (~Emma M., Closing of the bones ceremony)
“Lacey has been the most generous, loving, present and conscious doula I could have ever wished for. From the preparation throughout the six weeks postpartum we had with her, I’ve been feeling so well informed, nourished and supported during my postpartum time. Lacey listens in a way that allowed me to fully open! Her food has helped me heal fast! I absolutely loved every second spent together and would highly recommend her bright presence to any family entering this magical journey. Thank you Lacey!” Marion (postpartum support)
“Lacey was a lifesaver. She is very calm and steady, reliable, and easy to talk to. I felt I was able to relax, that someone who knew what they were doing was present. Lacey is obviously following a natural calling and is able to combine a flexible, go with the flow attitude with a professional side that is clearly structured, which is appreciated.” ~ Sri Devi (postpartum support)
“The closing of the bones ceremony was so incredibly nourishing and rejuvenating. I initially had some hesitations and still felt deep in the birth-postpartum-motherhood essence and didn’t want to close that. I realize now that it’s not a closing, but a spiraling, an honoring, and a reverence of the journey that I, and we, as mamas walk. I want to highly recommend it, it’s really special. It made our space feel so much more beautiful, and so much more like home. The ceremony reconnected me to my birth. There are so many elements to the ceremony like space holding, nourishment, a lot of beauty – I Loved it!” (~Forest, Closing of the bones ceremony).
“Lacey came into my life and I honor our friendship, and now that we share an experience as sacred as the arrival of Felipe, she will always be in our hearts. Your support since pregnancy filled me with calm, the calm that I needed in times of great fear and uncertainty. Then she came to our house and shared with us all his wisdom and love. She nourished us with food made with intention, I think with Felipe with a bond that we will always remember. THANK YOU SISTER We love you!” – Patricia (Virtual Birth Support + In person postpartum care)
“Lacey was an excellent addition to our birth team. Not only was she knowledgable, caring, and attentive, but I was comfortable enough with her to be honest about my feelings. Immediately after our daughter was born there was a situation that required presence, attention, and action, and Lacey was quick to take it. She made sure that my needs were met throughout the process and made sure that my opinion and feelings were considered. We are very happy with her work.” ~Makenzie G. ( Birth Doula Support)
Professional Doula Training
My foundation as a doula was deeply shaped through the 13-month Birth & Postpartum Doula Certification and Mentorship Program with Doula Thrive, guided by Master Birth Doula and Student Midwife Sarah Naia Soleil and Master Postpartum Doula Caitlyn Undreiner (2019–2020). I later returned for a second spiral year of advanced mentorship and deepening (2022–2023), continuing to evolve as both a birthkeeper and space holder.
My doula work is also enriched by my background in holistic nutrition, yoga, education, and my connection to nature, the divine feminine and my own ancestral remembrances.
Additional Training:
Spirit Baby Communication Training – Spirit Baby Society (2024)
Tending the Postpartum Psyche – with Whapio of The Matrona (2022)
Before my journey into holistic health and birth work, I spent several years working in education and teaching languages.
